Public schools & our
camp programs need your help!
Art 4 Children Inc reaches almost 1,500 young artists a month via travelling art teachers,
programs and our seasonal camps. The teachers that work in our programs need supplies so
we can keep costs low. We are in need of donations from local companies, families both big
and small who throw away items I could use for crafts or drawing lessons.
Here is a list of art supplies that
come to mind:
- paint: craft, fabric, acrylic - any kind but oil
- oil pastels
- crayola markers
- brushes white, colored
- texture or scrap paper pencils
- thin/thick permanent markers (black/color)
- glue bottles/sticks
- rubber cement crayons
Here is a list of everyday household
items (clean or unused please):
- scrap paper
- bottles (plastic/glass)
- shoe boxes
- books & Magazines used for references or collages: (no
gossip mags)
- fabric, ribbons, buttons
PUBLIC schools have no art!
With the help of donations we can provide more
scholarships and keep our program and camp prices the lowest in the city. If you or your
company can help me by donating anything that could be used for a craft or lesson, please
email me. I will come pick it up. AND!!! It's tax deductible!
Art4Children art classes help children
to:
- Develop skills of observation
- Promote creativity
- Develop problem solving skills
- Work in groups both socially and artistically
- Increase self esteem and confidence
- Improve dexterity
We all know how important an art education is to a
child's well being and sense of self. Once children can feel confident with expressing
themselves creatively, their world becomes a more colorful place.
There is power in
creativity.
